How our English medical content is produced

  • Primary sources only for anything regulatory. Where we describe a rule — what you may bring into Japan, what a medicine is approved for, what a customs authority requires — we quote and link the authority itself: the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the PMDA, Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority, US Customs and Border Protection.
  • A named physician reviews every article before publication, and again when it is updated.
  • Each article carries the date it was last verified. Regulations and prices change; we re-check the sources and update the date rather than leaving old information in place.
  • We do not publish patient testimonials, before-and-after photographs, or comparisons claiming that our clinic is superior to others. Japan’s medical advertising guidelines prohibit them, and they apply to our English pages exactly as they do to our Japanese ones.

Nothing on this site is a substitute for a consultation. Whether a treatment is appropriate for you is a decision for a doctor who has assessed you.
